What’s in a name? Ours contains both practical and very personal meaning.

As Luke and I decided upon a name for our passion of breeding and raising English labs, we kept ending at dead ends. As many of you probably know, naming a business is hard! We decided on Rock Haven because each of the words has different meaning to us. We live on a property that contains the name Rock (and it is also the road we live on). It also symbolizes our Rock, who is Jesus Christ, and we wanted our core values to be somehow represented in our name. We decided on Haven as we thought about the type of home we wanted to create, both for our family and our dogs. We want our home to be a haven our children come home to after school, or a hard day at work, and even right now in their toddler years.

Rock Haven seems to fit our family and our lifestyle really well and we are so honored and blessed to be able to do this work that we thoroughly enjoy!
